So i finally got around to changing my powersteeing pump, and after puting in the PS fluid (atf) I all foamed up out the resevoir.
I presume this is due to water in the lines.. Correct?
How best should i get rid of it?
Also what type of hydralic connector does it use?
Its out out of 200tdi disco.
and looks like this.

I dont think that is water, i believe (could be wrong) that there is a bleed screw on top of the steering box. after filling the reservoir, do not start the truck jack up the front end and with the bleeder open slowly turn the wheels from lock to lock, check reservoir often while doing this to make sure it always has fluid in it. do not fill to the top as it will over flow by the pumping action of the steering wheel.
by doing this you are cycling the air trapped in there to the highest point and out the bleed screw. you will also have fluid coming out at intervals so have a catch can or rag ready, close the bleed valve after a couple of turns, turn again with bleeder closed and repeat the whole thing until all air is out of the system.
