Northwest Challenge 2012
www.nwchallenge.com
Greetings All!
The Northwest Challenge is fast approaching. 3 weeks and the fun begins.
This year will be in a all new area and the scenery and terrain all new.
This will NOT be as hard core as past years. The terrain will give us the opportunity
to throw a nice variety of special tasks at you. You do not need another vehicle to Team up with.
This is a individual vehicle challenge. We will put you with another vehicle, just so you don't get
lost alone.
We do need a count, so pls get your entry in.
If you'd just like to come help. let me know.
If you'd just like to come camp out, just show up(and we may give you something to do anyway)
The exact location will be given in the coming week...............Look for it and get your name on the list
for a fun weekend.
The NWC organizers;
Doug Shipman
Paul Petroff
Steve Schoenfelder

It is in Oregon this year. Details here: http://nwchallenge.comchrismac wrote:I'm up for it. Is it in Canada or US?
You'll have to find yourself a co-driver, but that shouldn't be too hard considering all the avid Land Rover nuts on this forum.
Don McDonald and I will be going down together in his 110 but it would be really nice to have a few teams from BC attend.
cheers, Dave

Re: Northwest Challenge 2012
This just in from the organizing team:
Greetings All,
We had a very productive weekend finalizing routes and Tasks for the NWC this year.
We think we have a funfilled, interesting, event planned out. This will require you to
have a compass and GPS to find all the bogies(pie plates or flags). It should be fun
and non-damaging to you and your Rover.
Camp Location;
43° 49.329
-121° 20.424
Hyw 97 south out of Bend
Take the Lava Cast Forest Exit, Forest Rd 9720
Head east to Forest Rd 9725 and turn right
We are camped 20mi from central Bend. Approx. 8mi from gas and food.
The camp has no facilities. Because of dry fire restrictions, pls bring extra water,
axe, and shovel in your rig.(which you should have anyway)
There is a Task to be completed anytime friday untill drivers meeting at 8am saturday morning.
We will give competitors a list of "bogies" to find on your way in or after you get here. It's your
choice when you find them, just do-it before 8am sat.
Again, let me know if you'd like to help out.
Again, let me know if you'll be competing.
A good head count is helpful.
See you there!!!!
