Rover-Landers & Land Rover of Richmond Wheels Event Oct 14th

#1 Post by ANDYD » Mon Oct 01, 2012 1:33 pm

Each year Land Rover of Richmond has an Off Road "Wheels" Event for its customers and The Rover-Landers assist with finding a route, assisting with the logistics of a large group & sharing off-road knowledge to some of the less experienced drivers, helping them with getting through the trail with a sense of self achievment.
It's a great opportunity to mix the old and the new Land Rovers together and see the advances (some good, some not so good! depending on you personal preferences) and enjoy a day out in Beautiful BC.
This year we will be heading through the Cultas Lake / Chilliwack area running along some tight & technical trails. These trails will need to be driven slowly and carefully and will give the new Land Rover owner a chance to play with all their knobs & buttons they don't normally use on the road. (read up on you drivers manual if you haven't already)!
The date is Sunday October 14th 2012
Meeting times are 07:30 at Land Rover of Richmond or 09:00-09:30am at Whatcom Road Tim Hortons (exit 95 off Highway #1)
Should be back on Highway #1 at Abbortsford between 4-5pm

Space is limited because we max out at around 25 Land Rovers so let us know if you intend on coming out and where you will be meeting the group.
Cheers, Andy

I bought my last one from Lickman Road Truck Stop gas station (Hway #1), but you may want to try North Shore Off road as its nearer for where you live ...

We are up to about 21 Land Rovers so could still squeeze in one or two more.
Good local one day run to get your tires a little muddy & have a lot of fun
See the first post for all the meeting up details.

Cheers, Andy

I won't be able to make it due to a family member passing away. If someone has "every day trails" or can mark your route on a "back roads map book", I'd really appreciate it. Have a great adventure!

Yes, thanks for a great turn out, we had lots of Land Rovers old and new slippping and sliding their way through Vedder mountain trails and thankfully the clouds parted for a few minute while atop the mountain at 2500ft so we could look down on the Fraser Valley during lunch.

Great to meet and share the day with so many new faces, photos will be added to the gallery in the next couple of days,

Cheers, Andy

It was a great day out. :D Thank you so much to all the members who worked so hard to put it together. The organization was VERY impressive. The help, instruction, and encouragement was really appreciated.

Hi Andy,

Thanks for leading us on the long loop, short loop, and to the viewpoint on Vedder Mountain.
