What is your take on the quality of Britpart engine parts. i.e. Pistons , turbo's, rod bearings etc. I had read in the past that they had issues but see that they now have a 2 year warranty on most everything. According to Land Rover Direct the are OK.
Any help would be appreciated.

Ian

Re: Britpart Quality
Hi Ian,
Britpart and Quality have never been synonymous. You will find all manner of opinion to the contrary and it doesn't help that other brands and even Land-Rover branded items have had their share of QC issues lately. General rule of thumb for me is that engine and drive-train bits are not where you want to cheap out. I know the price of the good stuff seems prohibitive at times but when the hours of work to replace the rubbish bit goes into the double digits, that is where I chose to invest in the real stuff. Gamble on the ancillaries if you must but I wouldn't go near Britpart internals. I prefer not to have to go back in again. A 2-year warranty is a fair gamble for Britpart but they won't pay for the labour of your engine rebuild. Just my opinion of course.

For engine internals buy from Turner Engineering. Not worth the hassle for engine internals to use mystery aftermarket of any variety.
