Re: Shocks
Depends where you are located.
Cheapest from Vancouver is to order online (Amazon or eBay) and have them shipped to a PO box in Blaine or Pt Roberts. Usually free shipping. Even with exchange it's the cheapest.
If you want to support your local Rover firms, there are Rovalution and Hesp Auto in N. Van.
And you can probably get them ordered from Lordco or other auto parts store by giving them the mfg p/n.

Re: Shocks
He's right, I forgot Rocky Mtn. And actually, the single best thing you can do for you truck is to install Parabolic springs and matching shocks from Rocky Mountain (http://parabolicsprings.com). Completely transforms the ride and offroad-ability. Did it to my 80" many moons ago and never looked back.

Talk to Jeremy and let him know how you will use your truck and he can set you up.

Re: Shocks
Hello Dixon
I got a set of ProComp 9000s from Jeremy and recently installed them on my 110. Just finished a 1,200km trip with them (half highway, the other half rough gravel and washboard roads) and so far so good!
Regards, Rob

Re: Shocks
I did talk to Jeremy. The problem is he says he only has shocks that work with his parabolic springs. I have a military 3/4 ton truck which has the 1 ton leaf springs and aparantly I need heavy duty 1 ton shocks which are a different length and they are proving to be hard to find!

Re: Shocks
I'm pretty sure the military 3/4 ton trucks just have "heavy duty" leaf springs not unique 1 ton springs. An actual 1 ton Landrover is rare and would use different suspension parts as it was fitted with huge 9.0x16 tires! The only unique part of your military 109 is the longer spring mounts and extended shackle plates to raise the vehicle up more than a standard model. Can't see how regular "heavy duty" 109 shocks wouldn't work on your truck? Parabolic shocks are even longer than standard shocks so, again, not sure why they wouldn't work? But if the man that sells them says they won't? Well then?
