I can volunteer if needed. I will bring a couple of Rovers. And I will be giving away free tickets to the NW Overland Rally and the new BC Overland Rally for the raffle.

Thanks to all the offers to help with set and take down. I have made a list of all those who have signed up so far.

For those helping with set up, arrival time is by 9am.
For those helping with wrap up / clean up its likely to be around 7pm.
For those who cant be there early and cant stay late, there is always a helping hand needed during the event....

Looking forward to another great turn out again this year! If you have Land Rover, get it ready and join in!

Cheers, Andy

That's correct, there will be a local off-road run on Sunday 19th Feb

For those who don't know, Our Annual Snowflake Chase is always held on the Sunday after Founders Day, it will typically be a meet at 9.30am and back on the road before 4pm. It's basically a fun local run to set the year off to a good start! The exact location, meeting place and more details will be confirmed nearer the date....

Hope you can make it!

Hi Guys:
At the AGM, I said I could help for Founder's Day, but as it turns out, I will not be able to be there before about 1300, due to a Memorial service for one of our members. I'll come late. For Pam (as she always seems to be operating the door, g'bless her!): Can I come in late, say around 1330 at the latest? Please?

Thanks, and sorry about this,
Steve
PS. They just driopped a memorial tea on me as well, so I won't be able to come on the Snowflake Chase either...

Just a reminder, Founders Day 2017 just a few days away....

We have a load of great Land Rover & Camping goodies to raffle away and a newly designed Rover-Landers shirt for 2017.
Lots of second hand Land Rover parts, remember to bring lots $cash$ as we can't accept Credit or debit cards...

We are expecting our best Founders Day to date, so don't miss out, its only one weekend every year!!! :bounce:

See you on Saturday,
-Andy

Interesting collection of trucks, nice group of people, good prizes and some fun events. Well organized and a friendly atmosphere; a class act as always. Thank you to the organizers and volunteers for another great Founders Day gathering! I've posted a quick video of the obstacle course https://youtu.be/99JAJLqKYZk and would love to see some others.

Cheers, Rob

A big thanks to the organizers, volunteers, & attendees. My family and I had a great day, my young son was thrilled to bits with all the trucks & running through the ruts in the obstacle course.
Hope to see lots of you again through the summer.

Yikes... Founders Day is like Christmas Day, it has so much prep and lead up with the organization and set up, then BAM! its all over before you know it and we are left with good memories and a big grin!

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback, its only once a year we make a big effort to get as many Land Rovers under the same roof at one time as possible and we really appreciate those who made the effort to attend, with an extra mention to those who came up from far like the US, BC interior, Alberta and from Vancouver Island. This is truly the Largest Indoor Land Rover Event on the West Coast.

We had a record 88 Land Rovers drive into the show this year and the huge raffle of Land Rover related and Camping goodies. A BIG thank you for all that donated to the raffle and all those that bought raffle tickets and club merchandise. This all goes towards covering the cost of the event and preparing the club for a good year of upcoming events.

The Log Obstacle Course was again popular (to spectate and drive) and did a great job of showing what even a standard Land Rover can drive through and over. Thank you again for all those who came early and stayed late to help set up and break down the event.

Cheers,
Andy

Door to Door it was 1068km of breath taking scenery and breath holding road carnage on the way there an home. A lot of stupids on the highways this weekend :blackeye:

But it was well worth the drive down there!!! Great Show, better then last years too! And a really good opportunity to see and meet folks from previous trips or from discussions on the forum. Thanks for putting on this great event.....I'll be seeing you next year again :D

Andy -- Thanks for posting (although I see that you spent quite a bit of time in Series Land and Defender World, but never quite made it over to Disco Row...presumably so you wouldn't contract the somewhat contagious head-gasket affliction that some of us have experienced from time to time!). Excellent photos, and I have to say that I had an excellent time meeting a lot of people and admiring 88 very cool vehicles!

Thank you to all who made this event a success!
