It's a club tradition that on the Sunday after Founders Day we have a fun off-road club run into the local mountains in the search of snow!

What - Light off-road run into the local mountains including finding snow. Also a good run for beginners and the newer trucks.
When - Sunday 14th April, Meeting at 9.30 am (come early if you need fuel and breakfast!) Meeting at the Subway Restaurant on Highway 7, Mission (34963 Lougheed highway) (its 5 minutes East of Mission) grab some breakfast and a take out lunch - There is also a gas station there (Co-Op) that does Petrol and Diesel next to the Subway. If you need fuel, fuel up first when arriving. Google Link - http://goo.gl/maps/XNnzk . Departing at 10am sharp. We will be passing by the Sasquatch Inn around 10.30 am if you prefer to meet the group there. The Plan is to be back on the highway by 4pm (ish)
Where - We will be exploring the mountain valleys South East of Chehalis Lake and west of Harrison Lake
Why - Good mountain Air, great social event, to shake the cobwebs of your Land Rovers, get stuck in the snow & throw a few snow balls!
What Else - Bring along your lunch (or pick up from Subway), bring a folding chair, cameras etc. Family friendly, nothing too crazy, expect to travel through snow.
A good pulling point front and back and decent tyres are a must, bring along your tow / tug strap - plan on having fun!

Yes agreed, a fun day out, a few mud puddles, nice lunch spot at Chehalis lake and then it didn't take long to find snow. 12 Land Rovers headed out and against all the odds the weather was pretty good. We had a chance to play with the winches & tug straps and even threw a few snowballs,
