Any advice on what tierod puller fits landrover tierods? None of my existing pullers fit and not enough room to swing a good thumponumbter onto it.

You do not need a puller. Hit the side of the arm beside the tie rod taper hard. They will pop loose every time.

Agree with Red on this one... a couple of BFH's usually do the trick. Old school "pickle forks" ruin the rubber covers and "C-Clamp" style are bulky and hard to fit in the space you have on a series truck. Here 's a good video on track rod ends, more focused on the Defender/RRC/D1 vehicles but the concepts are the same... fast forward to about 6:30 to see the hammer technique at work.

Interesting had't thought of using that technique that way, will try later when the rain dies down. Thanks

And you don’t need two hammers. Just hit it and it will pop out. You won’t damage steering arms on a Land Rover.

Thanks guys that worked, although it still needed some heat on the steering arm as I was starting to peen the edges of the steering arm, it was the one on steering box arm, so not a lot of room to work.
