The Rover-Landers of BC

I have been using a program called ausiexplorer. You can use any map image with it or scan in any paper map you would like. I used it with areal topogrphic maps for my trip up africa and was very happy with it.

If you are interested you can get FREE 1:20,000 scale topographic maps for all of BC at the following locations:

Well Ryan, I'm impressed! I've been looking for the mining maps for awhile. Looks like the entire province is now online. Thanks for the links.

Scott, as far as the Canol Road goes, I've heard it is more or less a northern highway, with RVs hitting it during the summer, until you get towards the northern end. This is where it gets challenging, and I read on a motorcycle site that the really challenging part, as well as most scenic, is the Canol Trail, which pushes about 200 KM into the NWT. If you're able to ramble along at 50 KM an hour on the lower portions, I would imagine you should still get about 8-10 miles per gallon. I'm not basing this on any experience up there, rather what I've gotten on my Discovery II when I've leisurely driven logging roads.

I was reading an RV Times magazine recently and that was where I read that some folks are driving the southern half with RVs, however I can't find the article online.
