Series 2A Overdrive/Transmission Brake

Hi there,
New to the forum, but excited to be a part of it. I recently picked up an overdrive from Roamerdrive and installed it on a 2A (1967) I picked up recently (I’m planning on doing a project thread), and for some reason my parking brake either sits lower than expect, or my transmission sits higher than it should, although everything looks stock underneath. My question is has anybody else experienced this, and come up with a better solution?
I took the parking brake assembly out and heated it up and bent it, but couldn’t get enough travel out of the bend to not rub on the overdrive, so I drilled new holes on the side brackets to mount it higher, but the actuating rod isn’t long enough for the new position. Seems like a terrible design overall, has anybody converted to a cable parking brake or have a more optimal solution here?
