Easter Monday Rover Run (COVID rules apply)

Anyone interested in a Rover outing on Easter Monday?
COVID is still active on the island so we will have to keep our distance (no "sharing" at lunch... minimum of 10 foot long tow ropes, only family/households in each vehicle, masks, etc). Days are getting longer so might be time for a drive. Not sure where yet but looking to gauge interest. Please reply and also answer the poll questions to gauge the run-style preference.
Cheers for now, Rob

Hmmm... so far it is the "get muddy" crowd speaking-up. Anyone else thinking of going out and is there any other requests to trip types? I am game for any of the trips mentioned so no vote from me, I'll be there no matter what. Let's give this a couple of more days and then start working on routes, destinations and travel plans once everyone has had a chance to chime in.
Cheers, Rob

Well, looks like the majority are looking for a "scratch run" so we should set up a start time and a meeting place.
I am assuming that Copper Canyon gate will be open (not posted yet on the access website) so we could do a run up to Rhinehart or maybe go to Sherk Lake.
Looks like Holt Main south of Duncan will be open as well
Another alternative would be to do the scratch run from the spring get together that we cut-short last year.
Any other ideas or requests?
My thought is that we meet at the Tim Hortons in north Duncan and then head out from there deciding on which route we want to take. Let's make it a 9:30 start and plan to be out by 3:30 or so. Sound ok?
Usual recommendations, adequately prepared vehicle, recovery gear, 2 way radio (prefer HAM but FRS is OK as well), adequate food and drink to keep you going.

I think we'll run into to much snow to drive in if head up copper canyon. I was snowmobiling up at Holyoke in late February and there was 6-7 feet up there

Checked the Mt. Brenton web cam and lots of snow there, also Mosaic is posting the gate open Saturday and Sunday with no mention of Monday so I'm thinking they will be logging on Monday so... probably best we go bouncing around Mt. Sicker and see what sort of adventures we can have. Let's plan to meet at the north Duncan Tim Hortons at 9:30 and we'll head out from there.

Sounds good see you there. Hopefully we can find some mud, maybe up Grace Road?
Time to step back from our planned run

Hey everyone
Not sure if you caught the news but COVID numbers are exceptionally high and in light of that and health department new orders it really isn't the right time to be expanding our bubbles outside of our "10". As much as I am wanting to go out and play now isn't the right time. I won't be there on Monday (sorry) and my recommendation is that you all postpone the trip until this lightens-up a bit. Sorry everyone, see you on the next one.
