The Rover-Landers of BC

Hello all.

I have been toying with the idea of building a chassis jig. I dont like the idea of having to part out vehicles as there were so few made, so few are here in Canada, and above all so few are left in good useable condition.
The reality is that if I build a chassis jig I would have to build a bulkhead Jig as well. and thats ok :bounce:

I love Land Rovers and really want to fill my life with them. I will die happy to know there are more land rovers on the road and outta the hedge because of me :albino:

I have seen on the forum in the past derelict chassis' for sale or free; and I would like to make it known that I am wanting to collect them in the future.

This idea was spawned from my taking possession of a 1965 88" that has seen better days. it is a running driving complete insurable vehicle but the chassis is scary and the bulkhead has been poorly fixed many times. I don't want to take this vehicle apart for it to never have the chance to be a vehicle again. It is not an ideal candidate for a nut and bolt resto, but it in my mind should be appreciated for what it is, an existing series 2a with loads of history and character.


So having said all that, if you know of any frames needing love and a second chance at life, please get ahold of me!

I have a couple of 88" that need bubble baths and frames. I look forward to you continuing your project! I think we will see more and more 88" returning to the road in the future. I would like to make one of them electric and hopefully, the prices of the kits will start going down soon. I hate to think of my son's Tesla being the victims of an engine and battery thief

Hey Stewart, Thanks for the reply! Seeing your pictures is a big motivator! I appreciate the support, and am happy to know that ; although I am crazy, maybe not everyone thinks so haha.

I will keep the forum posted with any progress on this topic, including pictures of any rescued chassis'.
I saw a series roof sitting in a field when on a bicycle ride yesterday, so know the next door will be knocking on.
