My 300tdi Discovery doesn’t have the AC pump installed, does this affect the length/part number of the serpentine belt that I need to install as a replacement?
Does anyone know the part number/length?

No it doesn’t as the AC is ran off a separate belt. All 300tdis have the same belt.

ERR5911 is the part number (same as Defender)

Continental ContiTech or other brand (Dayco, Bando) 7PK1580 (or 7K1580) is probably the easiest to find in Canada or online.

Ask for a serpentine belt for a 1994 BMW 530/540/740/840, as it is more likely to be listed for one of those vehicles!

Kind of Partially Correct, there are 2 different Belts for the 300TDI, one is 1595mm (For those models up to MA[Defender]) and then 1580mm from Serial number TA Onward. ERR3287 for the 1595 and ERR5911 for the 1580. locally if i remember it should be a 7pk1595 or a 7pk1580 dayco (its a 7 ribbed belt I think) i ordered the ERR5911 for my defender and it fit just fine, i have the old one if you want to grab it and try it... located in langley.

Correct - depends what size the pulley is on the alternator...49mm or 65mm diameter. So it could be either, if it hasn't got the original alternator...

Awesome, thanks for the solid replies gang, I’ll go out and have a closer look at the alternator and serial number.
