D2 diff wear

How do people not notice noises, how many KM's do you think it took to do this? Lots of sparkly metalic oil in it.

To be fair Tony the oil in my rear diff came out a bit of silver last year but has never made a sound, I will know more when I drain it this year. If I get the same it will need to come out. Of course, I have no idea when the oil had been last changed.
