Hi Guys
The last Island run of the season will be on Saturday December 30th 2023
The weather at this time is showing sun and showers and above average temperatures in other words it will be nice and warm we should hopefully have little snow to contend with.
We are going to go up Copper canyon. I am ASSUMING (which can be dangerous) that the road will be open (it has been open most weekends lately).
The meeting place for our voyage will be the Front parking lot of the Haida-way restaurant on the corner of the TransCanada highway and Henry road (the Chemanus turn off). If your heading North turn left at the lights by the big Antique barn (with the fighter plane outside). Petrol, diesel and munchies for the trip are all available at the Co-op service station on the corner.
The restaurant says they will not be open on Saturday the 30th (I asked).
Meeting time is 9:30 with a 10:00am sharp departure time.
Bring the usual lunch, camara, shovel, warm clothes, goodies to share around maybe a tow rope (hope we dont need it) and some one (Colin ) should bring a chain saw.
Colin, Eric, Dave and Doug (and anyone else) you guys can meet at my place between 9:00 and 9:10 and we can all drive up to the Haida-way in a group (safety in numbers) if Greg's coming we can pick him up on the way north.
Please reply on here if your coming so far we potentially have 4 rovers coming, tell your friends (if you have any) about the trip, the more the merrier.
Any changes will be posted on here.
Talk soon Victor
