Jim McEachern Memorial Run. Placer/Ashnola Traverse -

Friends of Jim McEachern are hosting the Jim McEachern Memorial run over the Placer Ashnola Traverse. Meet at the Whatcom Rd Exit of Hwy 1 east of Abbotsford Friday afternoon, June 16th, 6 PM to head up with the group, or if you can't make it until Saturday morning, arrive at Copper Creek no later than 10 AM. Location: Starting Point Copper Creek FSR, 9 KM east of Manning Park East Gate

Any one wanting to depart Saturday morning, a couple of us will be departing H-way #1 - Whatcom road Tim Hortons at 7am (arrive earlier for breakfast / fuel etc..).

I’m not able to make this trip, but I think the plan is for a late Sunday return.

Wow...excellent run across Placer Mountain, beautiful weather for camping out.
We installed a plaque for Jim on top of the mountain with a gloroius look-out view across the valley.
The second day involved an amazing run over Crater mountain, lots of wild life & great views for miles around. We even had time for rewiring Dave T's engine harness after a electrical fire!
And still home in time for a (little late) Father day dinner...
