I was trying to talk my brother into a set of the STT's, they look nice. I was a little shocked at the current price of tires though! The STT's were more than Mud Terrains and I was hoping they would have been cheaper. What specific tire are you looking at and how much are they at Midway?

Thanks John. The STT,S are expensive at $250,00 per . the ST is only $215.00 per. but the side wall tread isnt there like it is on th STT. It is the same price as BIG O,S tire with warranty. like what Mark andkris use i think. i found at tireland there tires are less so far. aothough midway will give there own version of a warranty in house. so it all a crap shoot. i want to go with 235 .85 r 16,s , it is about all i can push i am sure. see you on the weekend. rick.m

On the subject of tires I came across these, Yokohama Y742S, the other day. They look interesting to me. Not a whole lot of sizes but for the traditionalist they are available in Canada in 7.50x16 for around $200 a piece.

You guys have to remember that there are only a few companies that build the casings for all the tire sold in the north America. from what Ive been told by my friend in the tire store, the first thing for an off road tire is triple side wall. All the tires that have the triple side wall usually have the same casing build.
BFG ALL/MUDDER
GOODYEAR SILENT ARMOUR AND MTR
TOYO MTR
YOKO MTR
COOPER SST

ALL THESE TIRE RUN ON THE SAME CASING, THE TREAD TYPE WITCH IS BRAND SPECIFIC.

LOOK AT THE 4X4 TESTS ON ALL THESE TIRES AND SEE HOW CLOSE THEY ARE !
