I don't know what the weather has been like in other areas but an unscientific measure in our back yard makes it look like about 4 inches have fallen since yesterday afternoon. The river is almost to winter flood levels and our creek is not far below the road level. The river usually peaks a day after the heavy rains so we might be in for some flooding and it is still pouring down. Not big heavy drops like normal but soft, fine rain and lots of it. One of the headline news items was(is) about potential for flooding in the province due to abnormally high snow levels. The headline was before the heavy rain started. It just might come true. Our river levels have little to do with the snow-pack because not so much of our supply is snow dependent. (Some but not significant like in some areas.)

What are river and flood levels like in your area? Anyone on here from Bulkley Valley, Terrace, Lower Mainland or??? Is it raining everywhere or are they still getting snow up north?

wet for sure

My raingauge, the floorboards of my 110, are definitely showing as much rain. Here in the lower mainland, we've lost all of our vegetation to housing, which doesn't trap water very well...lots of flooded roads tonight.

hmmmmm

I just watched the 1130 news. Looks like flooding on the Lower Mainland. No mention of the interior or up country but their temperatures are low enough that if it's wet enough, they'd be getting snow. News didn't say much about floods on the Island.
