Hi,
Has anyone tried to fit a 315/75R16 tire on a 110?
I have been talking to BFG about a tire for the Baja 1000 race and they are recomending a Baja T/A tire, the smallest size in a R16 rim is the 315/75R16.
This tire seems a little big and i am wondering if anyone has tried running something simular on a 110 with about a 1" lift on it.
Thanks!
Ryan

That is around 35x12.5 Yes there are people with tires that large. It requires some trimming and adjustments for compression clearance.
It also will require a lot of upgrading to the axles to prevent breakage.
Seems a little big for a racing tire though. Great for technical off roading, but not for speed.
What is wrong with using a 15" rim?

I tried some 315's on my project 110 a year ago and they rubbed on the rear spring perch just sitting in the driveway!!!
The rear spring perch on a 110 is bigger than 90's, rr's and discos to accommodate the bigger springs.
Later,
Don
Can't get them anyways...

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the input. My decision just got made a whole lot easier as the tires seem to be all sold out and backordered through next year.
So I guess I am back to mud terain or all terain tires (for logistics reasons they must be BFG) which come in lots of sizes.

Well, you have to get rims with a smaller backspacing than stock and 8" wide as a minimum....
