The Rover-Landers of BC

Hey everyone,

I'm truly missing my poor uninsured Series car, and have decided to try to get the Discovery a bit more trail-worthy. I've already decided on new BFG tires, and am pondering a bit of lift.

I am not sure if I want to put new springs in, and have heard of spring packers to add lift...How much can I gain this way, and what are the pro's and cons especially vs a new lifted suspension?

Expect to pay about $150 for a set of 4 aluminum spacers, and around $295 for a set of 4 springs (Rovertym, for example). In either case, you'll likely be dealing with at least rear shocks as they are generally too short after even a 2" lift. Best to replace the fronts too, unless they are new, as the aftermarket good shocks, like OME really improve the ride, spring performance and your tire life.

I went spacers first, but ended up buying springs about a year later. Had I known, I wouldn't have bothered with the cost of spacers when springs are son inexpensive.
