Thanks again to Dave, Pamela, Shawn and all the other volunteers who pulled off a very successful Northwest Challenge event. Equally as important to the success of an event are the participants some of whom came from as far as Alberta and Oregon. We thank you for the support.
For anyone interested in learning some of the history of the area we were "playing" in I suggest checking out the following website;

So how many of the participants are stepping up to share their experience with the rest of the membership through the next newsletter?
Regards
John

Cool video.
Wish I had been in the trucks instead of just watching -- except Pete's. His run of 1:57 must have been a pretty hairy ride!
Dave
Thank you

I'd like to echo John in expressing my many thanks for the great time at NWC this past weekend. Thank you to the organizers: Dave, Pamela, and Shawn, and the crew of volunteers that made the event such a success. They give their time and effort for event after event throughout the year and their dedication really shows each and every time. I would also like to thank the sponsers that provided the great prizes, Mike with the green Range Rover (sorry I don't know your last name...) for lending me the awesome tire chains, and Aart for lending me the distributor.
With regard to 1:57, Dave, don't you trust me?
See you on the track!
Pete

Hi Andrew,
I'll be posting them hopefully this weekend. All my late afternoons and evenings I've been taking advantage of the last few nice days before the snow flies to get all the outdoor things done around here...

Yes, lots of photos and 4 pages. A few typos... I wonder why, when we sent in the stories electronically and names typed correctly that they created typos — like spelling Pete's last name wrong. I've noticed this before in their stuff. Like the Malahat being a 10,000 foot pass. Hmmm. Maybe they retype things.
Anyway, the overall story looks pretty good and lots of RoverLanders got their names and faces in print.
Wait till next month and see the story on the Whipsaw Outstanding Trail...
