Hey has anyone added an air tool quick connect to a ARB compressor. :?:

I got back from KMS with 1/8” to ¼” adapters, just to find out that the thread is different between the 1/8 (BSP?) compressor port and the brass air fittings. :?

The ARB stuff is metric... good luck finding parts here. It drove me nuts when I did it ;)

Yes, they use BSP as that is the standard in Australia..... So you need a BSP/NPT adapter. A good hose or fittings place should have them or be able to make up a short adapter hose.

That reminds me, I was supposed to be writing something on air compressors for ALRE. In case anyone cares, based on my research to date, the Viair 400C is the best bang for the buck (with electric air compressors). http://www.viaircorp.com/400c.html The dual "package", http://www.viaircorp.com/d400c.html is even a better deal if you can find someone to share the second compressor with.

I had some luck getting metric to imperial brake line fittings at Wakefield Sperling here in Abbotsford
