Might be replacing the O2 sensors shortly
Has anybody tried the sensors without a plug and wired them in?

Thoughts would be appreciated?

Whats the reason for going without the connectors? Price? Ease of access?
I've changed a few of these and I found the first one to be tough as the connectors are fairly well hidden around the back of the block, but with a little practice the job isn't that hard. Price-wise they look quite a bit cheaper, but you're taking a chance that the wires are different colours and you might not get them wired up right.
If you do use them, I would recommend a staggered soldered connection as well as a crimp on sleeve, of course covered with shrink tube and then carefully tied back from any heat sources.
cheers, Dave

Sensors ...
I would remove the old sensors and give them a good clean and put them back in and see if there is any difference. (if you haven't already tried that).
I was able to stretch mine for another year by cleaning them.
When I did finally change mine I went with the same plug type, as there is so many different after-market varieties that this was the only way I could be sure that they were the right ones for my truck.
cheers,
Andy
