I think I may have a bad case of the stupids this morning, cuz I'm buggered if I can find the "details" link you mentioned?

it's concievably possible my rattling death trap will be on the road by then, and your place is within the radius of a bcaa free tow in case I discover a few bolts I've forgotten to tighten....

cheers,

Ryan,

I think you'll find several loose nuts at the rally...

Hi,

Just thinking better get the ferry booked for the Van Island Rally this coming weekend!
From Tswassen is it better to get the ferry to Nanaimo and come down or get the ferry to Victoria and go up?

Anyone else planning to head over? Always nice to convoy up!

cheers,
Andy & Family

Better by far to go Tswassen to Duke Point (Nanaimo) then drive south. We are 35 - 40 minutes from the ferry, or 90 - 100 minutes from the Swartz Bay ferry (Victoria).

Thanks for the info Greg,

We arrive on the Island at 12.15 Sat. so we should pull in to your place around 1pm, just in time for the Welly-toss!

Cheers,
Andy & Family

I enjoyed the weekend; a bit tired by this afternoon but a short nap cured that. Obstacle course was fun and worked out well considering it was thrown together at the last minute. Dinner was great, I ate too much, company was the best, and the drive today topped off a fulfilling weekend. Thanks everyone for showing up, helping and keeping the fields so clean afterward. Thanks Andy for bringing the Roverlanders badge, it is first class quality. There were a lot of new faces and I missed some familiar ones, I can't imagine how many would be here if everyone showed up that we've had in the past.

Hi Greg & family,
Thanks again for a great weekend. We really enjoyed our visit to the Vancouver Island Rally. A great mix of Land Rover folk, beautiful weather, lots of Land rovers, super location, good food, fun obstacle course, nice raffle, neat breakfast and prize awards, Cowichan Lake drive and lunch on the beach. (phew! all in one weekend)

I know it takes a lot of work to set up and put on every year and we appreciate all the hard work. Thanks also to all Gregs "helpers" for putting in the time and effort,

See you next year!
Andy & Family
PS. I will be practising my Welly-Toss before the next visit!
