Hi All,
My D11 have some weird 12 point screws / bolts on the rocker covers.
Any ideas where I pick up a socket or even socket set that would fit these? (Lordco had no idea!)
Cheers,
Andy

While a 12 point fastener might look "special" a 12 point socket is pretty common and should not be too hard to find anywhere.

Hi Andy
5/16 12 point box end wrench worked on my DI 4L rocker cover bolts.
8mm also fits.
I just tried the O/B bolts on my 04, 8mm 12 points fits.
The I/B will require a 12 point 8mm 1/4 drive socket.

Closed end wrench or 12 point socket. Lots of training at Lordco...

Yes, as you delve deeper into the engines there are even more 12 points, like rod bolts and crank mains on some models. It's worth having a 12 point set of sockets in your tool set.

Hey Andy,
12 point sockets, simple fix, your first mistake was asking Lordco anything.

Thanks all, for your replies...
After phoning around I found 2 Lordcos that did have 12 point sockets....but not metric ones
Then, horay  finaly located a store that had one metric set in stock, so I will get my hands on it tomorrow...
I will never complain about British Standard Thread again......
