disco 2 cd player

i have a 2000 d2 and the cd player doesnt work , you can put the discs in the changer and you can hear it shuffle through them but nothing happens and then it says check cd on the deck , i thought maybe i had them in upside down so i flipped them over and tried it but still nothing , we bought this d2 second hand so i dont know when it quite working , anyone out there have the same problem at some time ? any ideas? thanks troy

Hi
Installing CD is printed in magazine: Pioneer brand.
* DII Install CD label side up.
Do you have DVD in ceiling?
If yes the DVD sound is selected to play over the radio on & you will not hear any music from A CD player under the seat.
The 04 I have the CD did not play CD music but did shuffle the disk.
Only after the input was changed from DVD to CD.
When son used the truck, some one pushed the button in the ceiling & they had no music for their 2 hour drive. May be that this why he does not borrow the truck any more. L.O.L.

no dvd player ,but i took it apart and fixed it today . troy

Hi Troy,
What was the fix you did? Mine has similar symptons.
I just figured it was full of trail dust and the internals had been slowly rattled apart by 10 yrs of coregated FSR's.....
But, if you fixed yours it gives me new hope :idea:

andy someone on disco web gave me this link
http://www.rangerovers.net/forum/viewto ... =3&t=35310 it took me all of 40 minutes to have it apart and back together again , i think mine just had a dirty eye so i used a q tip and a little rubbing alcohol , but when i hooked it back up the freakin cartridge would not eject , gave it a little smack and it works , its very important to look at all the worm and wheels inside as per the the link photos , hope this helps ....troy
