All,
Friday I'm getting studded Nokian Hakkapeliitta LT snow tires on the disco (Cyndi wanted best snows, the nokians were highly recommended and win all the LT snow tire tests).
Anyone up for a non-scratch off-road run cowichan or north? West out of honeymoon bay or somesuch?

Sounds good to me, but not this weekend. I've got commitments this weekend despite having my new 90 running sweet now. Well- running sweet for today anyway. What's next? I still do incantations and other evil spirit warding things before I drive away. They seem to work as the 90 is nice to drive, fast and powerful. Fuel delivery problem is fixed and the drive to Sidney today went well. Speedometer seems to be out an even 8 km/h but I can do the math (I prefer not to do the math as that makes it seem fast as mentioned.).
Now, where to go for a drive? News tonight showed lots of snow. Looks like Reza got dumped on with about 8" of the white stuff yesterday. Lake Cowichan had some but I didn't hear how much. Ladysmith had some snow a couple days ago. Rob? got any roads to explore out your way?

What about a run towards Bamfield out of Honeymoon bay? I don't know the roads well as I've only been out there once, but I'm sure some in the club know some fun routes.

Cyndi got the Nokian Hak LT snows on the D2 Thursday, and they're pretty impressive tires. Interestingly, being slightly taller -- 245/75x16" -- they correct the speedo error (according to the gps).
Bring on the snow!
