The Rover-Landers of BC

I have an abandoned 1997 ram 2500 Cummins 5spd sitting in my driveway right now. The body is completely wrecked, the fire department used it for rescue training before I got it off the impound yard, but the chassis and driveline are complete. I picked it up for next to nothing with the idea of using the driveline for a project that has since fallen through. Now I have to figure out what to do with it.

I did fantasize about that engine in my 110, but then woke up.

I've always wanted a D130, and lately I've been thinking about dropping a 130 CC body with a flat deck onto the Dodge chassis. I think it could make an intersesting truck. I have to look into what legal issues I might have to deal with not having the paper work, but I thought I'd throw this up here to see what ideas the collective might have.

It would really turn out to be a horrible mess, you'd be better off trying to fit the Cummins into a rover frame, doing a engine transplant will be far easier than trying to do a body transplant with a body that wasn't made to fit in the first place.

Personally, if it was me I'd be using the Cummins to re-power a old body style ford f-350 crew cab.

After reading everything I could find on the web, I think your suggestion is the direction I will be going. If I put the Cummins into my 110 I'd have to replace every piece of the driveline to handle the power of this thing, and I don't think I want to change the way the 110 feels that much.

My other truck is a 1997 F250 with a 351. I think that might be a nice home for this engine, or I may look to replace it with a 70's era F series truck.
