Final countdown ..... 10 days to go until Founders Day 2013. One more weekend to get those Land Rovers ready ....
Thanks for the offer to help Craig, we will put you to good use!
We did some scouting around for the "Snow Flake Chase" scheduled on the Sunday after Founders Day, it will be in the Chilliwack area, no problem finding snow this year, the challenge is more to find a decent run that we can drive with out all getting stuck 5mins into it!
We found some good options but the final route will depend on the snow fall over the next 10 days .... stay tuned...
Cheers,
Andy

Hi All,
I have been asked a few questions regarding Founders Day which I will share in case you have never been to one before,
Q. Do I need to preregister?
A. No, just turn up on the day and drive right in.
Q. What time should I arrive?
A. If coming to the Annual General Meeting (AGM) arrive by 11am, park outside and walk in. The doors for vehicles will open at 1pm. To drive in, you can arrive at anytime between 1pm and 4pm but the earlier the better.
Q. Do I need to be a Rover Lander member to drive in?
A. No, anyone with a Land Rover can drive in and join in with the show. All other vehicles can be parked outside at anytime and the occupants can walk into the show. (Walk in's are free).
Q. What is the Snow Flake Chase?
A. This is a local run into the mountains that we do on the Sunday after Founders Day. This year it will be in the Chilliwack area. Meeting around 9am and back on the road around 4pm. Expect snow, dress warm, bring your lunch. Everyone is welcome. You will need tires that will handle snow (M&S, A/T, M/T) more details will be posted soon....
Any other questions, feel free to ask???

Dave,
The meeting for the Snowflake chase run on Sunday morning is 9am at Whatcom Road exit of highway #1, departing at 9.30am sharp. The plan is to be back on the road by 4pm. I will post some more details later today. We scouted out a beautiful run that will have plenty of snow but shouldn't be too tough for the less experienced.
Cheers,
Andy

It turned out to be a very successful Founders Day, a BIG Thank You to all of you that came out on the day, joined in with the show and supported the event.
It wouldn't be possible without all the willing volunteers who put in a 9am to 9pm day setting up, putting on displays, working the tables, and packing up, awesome job!
Also all the Rover-Landers supporters who donated a great table of raffle prizes which helps with paying for the Agriplex rental.
All the stats, award winners and final numbers will be out soon ..... if you have any photos or videos you would like to share in the Gallery, send them into Bill or myself (contact info in the "contacts: tab) and we will get them posted up.
Cheers,
Andy

Thanks for all the work Andy and Jill and all the other volunteers. Good to see the series 1's out, wish we could have had a couple more. Lots of new enthusiasts to replace the old guard.

Thanks for the kind words, it was a good group effort!
Bill, loved the Series 1, she looked great (first time I had seen her) I can see lots of elbow grease has been spent on that old girl!! :occasion5:
