The Rover-Landers of BC

Hi All,

My neighbors dog went AWOL today while with a dog walker on the Mamquam/Indian River Road just south of Squamish.

I am going to head up tomorrow morning around 8am to see if I can help in locating him. There is some snow on the road where he was last seen...hence the request from my neighbor for the services of my Defender.

My only concern is depending on how deep it is, I don't have chains or a winch (just a hi-lift), but decent BFG KM2's. If anyone is interest in being a "second" truck and helping out please text or call me tomorrow at 604-323-4288 as I wouldn't mind a backup in the event I get stuck.

The dog is a 18 month old purebred Rhodesian Ridgeback show dog called Hunter. Being a South African breed, he can probably survive a night or two (as long as it doesn't get too cold) but we want to see if we can find him before he goes feral. My neighbor has gone back up and is camping in his white VW westphalia tonight as far as he can get on the road in hope that the dog will scent him.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Glad to hear the pup was found! Did he get an honorary ride in your Defender as a "roverpup"?
