Posted: Sun Jul 27, 2014 11:02 pm
The next Rover-Landers Run is coming up on the Aug. 9th weekend.
Get ready... it's Jeep Trail time!!
The Jeep Trail together with the Cooke Creek Trail is a 1-Day Run through spectacular scenery high up in Hunter’s Range in the North Okanagan / Shuswap to 7000+ feet. The views and scenery are spectacular!
This will be the 3rd annual Run on these trails.
The trails are similar to the legendary Whipsaw Trail down by Princeton, only shorter in length.
It is a thru & thru trail set up like a really big horseshoe. On a good day about 5-6 hrs and on a bad day, obviously longer.
Expect any and all trail conditions.
Trail rating: moderate to hard
This event is family and dog friendly.
Bring bug spray, lunch, water, camera and always watch your kids & dogs for possible bears in the area.
Contact Dave at [email protected] or Pamela at [email protected] if you wish to partake in this Run or if you have any questions.
Camping Spot: We have managed to locate a camping location for 2 nights, so no need to break camp Friday night. Woohoo!!
The camp location for both Friday & Saturday night is on private property in the Enderby area.
Check with Pamela or Dave for camp coordinates & directions.
No bathroom facilities at camp location (large field with trees) but we will set up 2 seats with cat holes in the trees.
Garbage - whatever you pack in, you pack out!
Wildlife in area - deer and possibly a bear. Sorry no campfires.
Saturday Departure time for those camping Friday night: 9:00 am from camp.
