A little bit of history for aviation buffs.This was BEFORE
Pearl Harbor! Ford's B-24 Bomber Plant at Willow Run, Mich. Henry Ford
was determined that he could mass produce bombers just as he had done
with cars. He built the Willow Run assembly plant and proved it. It was
the world's largest building under one roof. This film will absolutely
blow you away - one B-24 every 55 minutes.

Its crazy to think about how a plane like that could be assembled so quickly. I have worked in aviation for 18 years now and pounded a fair share of alloy rivets. We spend thousands of hours just doing repairs to helicopter airframes let alone assembling a bomber in minutes. Must be some serious planning to have all the bits come together that well.
Saw a cool video about the Ford Dearborn plant where they assemble the F150s. When SVT designed the Raptor they were limited to the increase in width of the truck due to the plant door openings that they had to pass through while on the line. The Raptor is built on the same line as the normal 150 so the SVT guys could only widen the truck by 7"....... only...
Not as cool as the history in the Liberator video but still interesting.
