Hi Everyone.

If there is enough interest we may try to get up to the old Green mountain ski hill on Sunday Nov. 2nd, the starting point would be the Cassidy pub just North of the Nanaimo International Airport also located near the famous Vancouver Island Bungy Zone , probablly be around 9:00 am or so when we would leave the pub.. This might be a light scratch run as the road was getting overgrown when we tried to get there 2 years ago. ( We got lost, ran out of time and never found it)

So lets hear from you if you want to come along, (sooner is better than later.)

Sounds fun to me. I'll check in closer to Nov 02 to confirm. This will be the last run for old Landy before the insurance is up and I do my annual maintenance on her.

Hi Everyone

Okay we have 4 rovers now so its a go.

Rob and I wanted to get up there Saturday Oct 25th just to check if the gates were open but it was raining so hard it was not worth it. So if they are locked we will come back south and head up Copper Canyon instead.

Meet at the Cassidy Pub Sunday Nov. 2nd for a 9:00 am. departure for the ski hill. Bring the usual radio, lunch, camara, lawn chair, shovel, ropes etc and your hiking boots, if it is nice weather the hike to the old ski lodge (1/2 hour or so) is great.

If you are coming down from Nanaimo you may have to drive down to the airport and turn around and come back north to get into the Pub parking lot.

I should be able to make this one... is the cassidy pub the one that had the food trailer that just burnt down?

me and my girlfriend can probably make it and I will inform my friend with the p38 as he does not currently have a computer.

The cassidy pub had a small house style restaurant that burnt down 4 months ago? There is also a nice civilized rest stop at the north end of the parking lot. The Old cassidy Pub is still there.
