Defender, Founder's Day, Vancouver Sun Article

Hello all Roverlanders,

My name's Brendan McAleer and I write for the driving section of the Vancouver Sun (and elsewhere). I'm looking at putting something together with a focus on the Defender, and hoping to get it done before the Founder's Day event, such that it could get a mention in the paper and perhaps boost attendance. Are there any members in my immediate area that might be interested? I live in North Vancouver, just up from Rovalution, and not that far from Hesp (dropped both of them an email, and heard back on some leads). Please drop me a note at [email protected]

FWIW I learned to drive in a Series III in low range when I was eight or so, and we still have two in the family.

best,
-Brendan

What do you need? I work downtown and live in Vancouver but easy to get anywhere.

Rovalution put me in touch with a Defender owner who lives on my block (Jeez, that was easy), and I'll probably get out to see Alastair's next week. Just a brief chat and a photo or two of the truck is what I'm thinking - shoot me an email if you'd like, or I'll try to check in here.

Hi all,

The piece actually ran in The Province today, and is up online at the below link. Thanks to all who helped out, and apologies to those I missed due to deadline.

I also write for BBC America, and their auto department is interested in doing a Defender tribute. I'll be there on Saturday, hope to meet a few more of you all.

thanks!
