The Rover-Landers of BC

Now the summer is in full swing, here are some dates of some upcoming club runs to mark on your calendar....
More info on these events will be posted here in the weeks before.

16th-17th July - Copper Creek, Placer Mountain, Ashnola Traverse, Hedley Mines
Option of camping at Copper Creek on Friday night.


6th-7th-8th August - Mud Lakes, Poison Mountain, China Head, Big Bar.
Option of camping at Carpenter Lake on Friday night.

Note- the 17th-18th Sept run has been push back to mid October.

30th Sep-1st-2nd October - North West Challenge - British Columbia in the Sea-to-Sky / Squamish area. Contestants arriving Friday evening. Club spectators are welcome on Saturday.


15th-16th-17th October - End of Season Club Run - Whipsaw Trail to Cabin Lake
2 Day off-road loop

For the August 6,7,8 th run, do you mean for this to be on the long weekend by chance? (July 30,31,Aug 1?)

Hoping to join the 16th-17th July run. Checking with wifey on the family schedule...

Hi Stewart,

The dates are correct as listed, we tend to avoid stat holiday weekends for club runs for a few reasons. Often people have family commitments where they need to attend family events etc Also the traffic is always a nightmare getting out of and back into the Lower Mainland.
If you can't take a vacation day or sick day (cough, cough) then most of the runs can be shaved down to two days but often would mean longer days of driving.

Good morning Andy, I was just wondering if there was any information posted for the Cabin Lake run. I thought I had seen something but can't find it now, maybe I just need more coffee.

Note- this run has been modified and moved to mid October, more detail will be posted nearer the date

I will post up the details in the next couple of days for this run. SEE NEW POST FOR UPDATED DETAILS

Basically it will run something like this;

Day 1 - Start at the Whipsaw Trail, run up to Lodestone Lake.
Day 2 - Lodestone to the Coquihalla, Crossing the highway near Murray Lakes and head up and over to Cabin Lake.
Day 3 - Depart Cabin Lake coming out on highway 1 near Boston Bar and head for home via highway 1

As we cross over the highway (Coquihalla) there will be options for doing a two day if you cant manage all three days.

Yes, Cabin Lake and Whipsaw is planned for the end of the season run.... hope to see you there, Oct 15th & 16th.

Haven't been out for a long time. Its been a rough year. Sold the big red F150 and still couldn't get a Rover due to the travel trailer requirement but I have a white F150 now. Haha

I would love to get out to the Whipsaw again but depends on some medical stuff.

Feel like having a Ford tag along again?

What's the plan? I would like to join the group for the weekend but thinking it may be hard to do both Cabin Lake and Whipsaw as I need to be around Vancouver Friday morning.

Unfortunately it looks like we have an appointment on Saturday. Ill have to wait for a day trip. Ill keep watching the forum.
