Founders Day 2017 - campsite recommendations

We're planning on heading up for Founders Day in February and wondered if someone could make a recommendation for a campsite nearby. We want to hit the Snowflake Chase the next day - so don't want to be too far out. We usually go the rustic route, but anything within an hour would suit.

Thanks!

Hi Brian, good to here you are planning on attending...

The best area for camping would be Cultas Lake, its about 15mins drive from the Founders Day venue. If you do a search for Cultas Lake camping you will get lots of options, most of them are open through the winter but check the websites just to make sure.

There are also a couple of hotels within a few minutes drive of the venue, (Comfort Inn and Travel Lodge) likely have good rates at that time of the year. (off peak)

Cheers,
Andy

I live 5 mins from the venue. If anyone wants to camp for free in my yard they are welcome. I warn you though, you may be expected to stay up a little bit, drink my wine or beer and talk about travel and Land Rovers.

So why aren't we relocating the whole Founder's Day event to Ray's place? Wine and beer sounds way better than hot dogs and pop!

Hmm, if we parked them nose to tail and filled both yards...

it turns out I have to be home Sunday - so no overnight or Snowflake Chase for me this year. But I will see you all on Saturday.
