Morning
So the issue I'm having was my headliner for my 99 disco 2
Headliner was starting to sag were it was one of those things were it annoyed the hell out of me
So I decided to take the whole panel out yesterday, took approximately 2 hours
Now we're down to the bare shell, everything scraped of ready
Here's the thing after watching and reading every possible video and forum on it
No mention of what primer and paint to use
Any suggestions?

What did you use to scrape all the old foam off? I am about to do this to my RRC.
I had this done to my 110 years ago. It came out excellent. We just used a flat-black latex in a rattle-can. But I have seen online that many folks use spray-on bedliner for added durability.

what I did with mine was pull the headliner and peel the fabric off through it in the washing machine, ask the wife how! Then remove all the foam with a brush. spray glue the whole thing back on an refit. Worked great!

I tried the BBQ brush but saw pretty fast that it was almost balling up at some areas
So I had a pair of old cotton gloves with the rough plastic on the front and ruled it of
Than finished it with a stiff bristle brush, the plastic kind to get the hard stuff

Yup that stuff was gross! Cotton glove worked pretty good and I think I used acetone to get the residue off after
