Thanks to Roger and of course the rest of the gang, had a great time, a few scratches, ouch but well worth the effort! Thanks all, until next time!

You should take it back to the dealer before you wash it off!

Was glad to see you out with us on Saturday, but you were correct to leave before attempting sunrise Lake. It may have resulted in a few more scratches. I ripped my rear bumper going up the first step of the V rock, but luckily the plastic twisted rather than cracked. A few swift kicks, and new light bulbs and its as good as new.

See you next time.

I would also like to thank everyone for a great day.
My wife and 2 girls also had a wonderful time.

I appreciated all the tips and help getting through some of the
more difficult sections. I learned how capable a stock Discovery is!
I ordered a new set of tires today (A/T’s in a little larger size) that should
help me out next time. That's my first real upgrade, besides the "Rover Landers" sticker I put on yesterday.

Hey Dave, well yes, for some reason I can't conquer the snow yet, too heavy at 6000 plus pounds I think but also glad I didn't go too crazy for the first outing. Didn't get stuck though so the rear locking diff is working nicely. I will take it back to the dealer to wash though, lol. Of course the damage was nothing compared to having it broken into Sunday night, I mean two friggin days... Oh well, not new any more! Hopefully we'll see you on the April run.

All the best,
JC

Glad to hear the damage to the bumper wasn't too bad Dave.

JC: Nice to see a LR3 get wheeled. I have to admit I was a skeptic when i saw your rig but by the end of the day I was quite impressed with how well it works. Good on ya.

Are there any photos from the day?

LOL...Well thanks for the vote of confidence, I have always been amazed at what these trucks can do considering most people think they are for on road only! Since this is my second LR3 I know a little more and with the new locking rear diff I was again impressed with the ease I had of negotiating the second major creek we hit. Can't say enough about the versatility of it, one minute you're doing 160km on the highway and the next you're climbing over rocks and going through creeks, all without trying to get a scratch of course.... all the best,

JC

PS: Have a few good photos, Bernie's rig on three wheels, how do we post them?
