April 26 Saturday morning meet in Abbotsford 8:30am Tim Hortons Whatcom Rd and #1 Exit 95? next exit past Sumas rd.
The plan is to take the highway #1 to Boston Bar cross the mighty Fraser then follow the river on the westside to Lillooet. Visit the bakery and coffee shop then head to Carpenter lake and camp the night. Sunday morning head up over the top of the mountain to Seton Portage then along the Highline to D'Arcy - Pemberton - Whistler - Home.
This is a easy run on mostly logging roads with awesome vistas and scenery. High mountain roads in beautiful BC.
The Highline road is plowed in the winter so should not be a problem but I will confirm that it is open before we go. The Highline is south facing.
I would like to start a list of trucks that are going, please post here
Thanks Bernie

Hey Bernie,
I'm in for sure!
Unless of course it's cold, or snowy, or raining, or I have a cold, or I have some other lame excuse for staying home like my heated seats or air conditioning is on the fritz.
PS do you think I'll make it with my BFG MT's?
OK,OK I'll stop now.

Hey Bernie, I assume you got my message from the other thread but just in case count me in, hopefully the weather will hold for us and we can actually get through! Sandrine can't make it this time so not sure who I will bring as a co-pilot yet. See you all soon!

I just sent in my membership info and I am excited to get out on a trip with our new truck. I was wondering on how much fuel you would have to carry or how far is the longest strech without services. My wife can't make this trip but my brother might come so I am not flying solo. I am looking forward to meeting all of you.

Hi Millsteel,
Welcome aboard, you shouldn't need to worry about extra fuel as there are enough fueling stations along the route Bernie has planned. I am not sure of the longest stretch without services but as long as you fill up when the opportunity presents itself you should be fine. Let's just hope the forecast snow for this weekend is long gone by the time we head up the following week. Looks like your 110 is the same paint colour as Bernie's!

Hey Millsteel, welcome on board, did I see your truck in the WestEnd down by the pool there a week or so ago? I thought I saw a red Defender and thought what a nice truck and your's looks similar? Anyway we'll see you out there.
All the best,
John

Hi guys
Well the trip is this weekend, thanks to all that are coming.
I thought that we could meet in Abbotsford Saturday morning 8:30am at the Tim Horton on Whatcom road and the #1 exit 95 and leave by 9:00am to Boston Bar 1.5 hours later.
For trucks that need fuel that would be a good place to fill up the next fueling station is in Lillooet.

Thanks for the starting point I am getting really excited for the first trip out. Did I read somewhere that there was going to be a bit of early morning fishing?

Thanks for letting us participate! :)
It's too bad that we had to leave, and that was my fault... poor planning on my part :homework:
Kaare and I loved the trip, and were both amazed at the breath taking scenery! We loved meeting everyone, and it was great to put some new faces to handles from the forum, as well as meet new people ;)
Can't wait to see the pictures
