Sankey giveaway

#1 Post by Dave_F » Fri Jun 20, 2008 5:09 pm

Watching via the web an auction today in Alberta, and they had 10 sankey trailers from the Batus group.

They all went for $450 for the lot.... the pic below is one of the 10.

I was too late getting registered so I was unable to get in on it.

So in a nutshell someone in Alberta has just purchased 10 Sankey's and if anyone knows who this is let me know as I am interested in picking one up.

Cheers,

Dave http://www3.telus.net/shade/Rover/pic1920991.jpg (alt+p)

You can get one any day of the week in Innisfail for around that price or better....

I'm sure that I've mentioned it before. They have had them for over a year now.

Dave_F, do you mean that 10 went for $450? thats only $45 a piece! If that's the price, it sure was a good deal...

Dave I couldn't believe it myself, so I have sent them an email trying to get confirmation. I'll let you know when I find out.
There was a $175 buyers fee on top of this so I'm guessing its for the bundle...as 450 + the 175 for each is a little pricey I would think for an auction....we'll see!

Hello Dave. Can you tell me the site that you were watching the auction on. It sounds interesting. Thanks.

The site is

http://www.maauctions.com/

This is where the Batus group disposes of all of their old Land Rover trucks and trailers.

Just keep checking as usually it's always the Industrial Auctions that the Rover stuff is in.

Cheers,

Dave

No, he doesn't have any left. Apparently he had 4 left at the auction yard but didn't pick them up so they were re auctioned as of June 24 anyways.

I am really interested in picking up on of these ex military trailers so if anybody knows where I can get my hands on one that would be greatly appreciated. I can’t find the one on your link and I had e-mailed with no response. Thanks for your help

Are you talking about my link? Yes, it seems to be dead, maybe they have sold out.

Anyway the place is:
Innisfail Park & Sell
Phone/Fax: Phone: (403) 227-1507
Fax: (403) 227-1577
Address: 4708 - 42 Ave.
Innisfail (Alberta)

I've no idea if they still have any. Give them a call.
