we took a few days off and went to kamllops and down through FALKLAND into VERNON the 1st night, Had a great dinner with Jim and Carla SKELTON. Had a good time remembering a mountain rovers trip into RENATA.Jim was going into hospital for knee replacement the following day. i called a few days later and all was well,
next morning it was off to Lumby. and on to NEEDLES ferry. Just before we got to the Ferry we dropped down into EDGEWOOD.Was curious to know if any one had seen people coming up from RENATA. re if the stream crossing was open again?/The lady in the shop said some had in from there, met a man outside who works at CINNAMON BAY. and said the lower road was open to there approx 35 km.s south . The upper road is open he thought.
we crossed on the ferry. and noticed the lake was 20 to 25 ft lower than we had ever seen in in july when we had been there.
on to NAKUSP and into CASTLGAR, for the night. Lots of smoke all along the road that whole day. We left on the next morning to go to GREENWWOD and yes we had lunch at the cafe.. and on into MIDWAY. TO stay with our MOUNTOAIN ROVER GUIDE DANNY ANDERSON. stayed with them over night. got some great news RE RENATA. turns out DANNY and a MIDWAY pal in an old series 88in. and a cherokee made itin there over BULLDOG mountain this summer. and for those who REMEMBER bills, Washroom WE assembled near the beach. it is excellent shape and able to tackle all the needs of them while camping there. Now for the rest of the story.!! The FORD on the river in RENATA is open and they came home that way. Climbed the big hill and a few left turns. and 35 kms later were coming into GRAND FORKS along loging roads. if any one needs to find the route, DANNY ANDERSON is the only danny anderson in MIDWAY. enough,, lol. rick mellenger.
