A poster with details will be placed on the front page of the site in the next few days. Don't forget to come to this, our largest event of the year.

Snowflake Chase
OK, since no one else has made any suggestion, I'll give it a try...
Meet at Whatcom Rd. Tim Hortons. 9:30 AM
Drive East to Othello Tunnels (50 minutes) and take an hour to hike around. (If you haven't been, its quite worthwhile IMHO.)
Drive 10 KM further up the Coquihalla and turn south on Sowaqua Road. You will find lots of snow. I was up there a few weeks back and the snow started at the 10 K marker, but its bound to be lower than that by now.
Another possibility would be the Chipmunk creek area. There was no snow in early December, but everything was beginning to freeze up.
Any other ideas, anyone?
Dave

A few guys have tried chains in other years, and of course a few trucks have lockers, but typically they only get a couple of hundred feet further than the rest of us with open diffs and all-terrain tires.
Its just a fun run until we all get stuck, so bring your truck as you'd drive it every other day.

Snow Flake run....
Hi Dave,
I was up on Church mountain via Liumchen East FSR(just East of Cultas Lake) on New Years Day, there was snow from the bottom all the way up to where we couldn't go any further (at 18"deep) just before the Lake trail carpark.
I also like the idea of the Othello tunnels (always wanted to go there!), not sure if the 1hr highway drive each way will be popular with the older series vehicles?
Any how, look forward to seeing you on Saturday (& where-ever we meet on Sunday)
Cheers,
Andy
