indestructable Land Rover Phone

#1 Post by rayhyland » Wed Jul 15, 2009 7:27 pm

This looks pretty cool actually. Between the dust, the vibration, the leaking roof, the rain coming in the vents, and the occasional drop off the roof rack - I usually get about 6 months out of a phone. Hope it shows up in Canada.

You can buy the non-rover version of the Sonim XP3 unlocked for use on any network at Best Buy. $400usd though, since they aren't discounted by signing a 2 year phone contract.

When you say non-rover do you mean the exact same phone without the logo or is it not the same indestructable phone?

I should clarify that it won't work on *any* network as I stated in my original post. It will work on most GSM networks. In the states that includes ATT and T-mobile, but won't work on Verizon, Nextel, or Sprint's networks. I'm not sure which wireless carriers you guys have and what underlying network technology they use. Great phone though.

Should work on all [the main] Canadian networks with Telus/Bell's recent upgrades...
