Anyone have any experience welding a end cap onto a diff.? Do I need to worry about distorting the Diff. casing/housing?

I have not done it, but have not heard of any problems. They do need to be modified to clear the stock panhard rod.

when I did mine I didn't do a continuous weld all the way around on the first pass, I would do a 1 -2 " weld and then same on the opposite side once
it was welded all the way around I did continuous weld all the way around on the top.
No distortion or leaks .
