I've done them on my Series trucks which is the same idea, probably same parts!
Rubber strip goes on outside use lots of dish soap for lubricant, and it REALLY helps to have the right tool, it has a small handle and a small diamond shaped wire which you feed the rubber sealing strip through and the into the window frame seal. I made mine from a wire coat hanger.
Cut the window seal about an inch big and fit it to the roof with the ends joining at the top.(to avoid leaks) Same with rubber strip cut it about one inch long and fit with the joint at the bottom. You will have sore hand after this.
If all else fails any glass company can fit it for a few dollars.

alpine windows
Just to let anyone know who is thinking of replacing the old weather beaten seals on thier alpine windows. The sealing rubber is available from any good automotive glass store. That type of rubber seal was used on many north american campers and motor homes. You do not need to order it from England.
One thing to watch out for is that you have to measure the thickness of your glass as there are different thicknesses of rubber for thicker and thinner glass.
