Basic GVRD trails/sites for newbs?

#1 Post by Taemian » Sun Jun 26, 2011 4:47 pm

New member with an LR3 here, bone stock with the hvy dty package. Warranty runs out end of July, and I'd like to confirm everything works fine. Where can a beginner go to test the basic offroad modes of the LR3? I'm in Langley.

Thanks!

Hi & welcome,

I would suggest Vedder mountain, on the south side of Cultas lake or a run up either side of Harrison Lake and take some of the smaller off shoots like Hale Creek beach.

If you haven't got one already, buy a Back Roads of SW BC mapbook (available from most gas stations, Canadian tire, Chapters etc...) and explore a little. Your LR3 will handle most trails very easily,

Have fun,
Cheers, Andy

Or come out on a club run with us. You'll be able to test your Rover to the degree you're comfortable while having an experienced guide worry about navigation. There's even a good chance you'll meet some nice people...
