removing disco 1 jumpseats and panels ??

#1 Post by rezdiver » Mon Oct 03, 2011 7:28 pm

anyone know off the top of their head what tools are required to remove a pair of jumpseats, seatbelts and panels from the back of a discovery 1?

i may have a set lined up but dont want to leave home without the proper tools and right size sockets/wrenches.

thanks,
Reza

Hi rezdiver.

The jump seat are secured with Torx head bolts.
The seat pivot on 6 bolts per seat.

Page 28 chassis & body manual service repair # 76.71.23

Bring a selection of Torx size 15 to 35. seat belts may be 40.

It has been a while since I have taken out the seats in a DI.

If you are converting to a SE7 take brackets behind trim panels to mount seats on including belts support brackets. more spare parts the better.
