Reacrhing leaf springs. 88 or 109 used main leaf needed

#1 Post by island dormy » Thu Dec 01, 2011 6:10 pm

Hi Guys I am finally rearching my front leaf springs with a home made tool I made up and a hydrolic jack. (Like a big press but much smaller and easier to store.) I have wanted to do this for years now. The springs were in basically good shape except they are sagging a little. Every thing is going very well except that I need a used main leaf. From either a 88 or 109 petrol or diesel ( they are all the same).
Does any body have one that is in decent shape? Maybe some of you fellows who have switched over to parabolics. I will pick up from Victoria to Nanimo this weekend. I started this project 3 weeks ago and want to finish, it is dragging on way to long.

I will write an article up for this complete with photos for the Rover Landers spring newsletter it is not a hard job to do. just time consuming.

Thanks Victor
