Just bought a 1992 RRC that was plagued with electrical problems.
Found these remedies by surfing the net.
1.
- No power to the fuel pump.
Wrong relay under pass. seat. It had a head/driving light relay in it. These look the same as a fuel pump relay, but are different internally.
2.
- Horn not working
- Hazard lights not working (though both indicators were fine)
- Interior fan for Heater/Air Conditioning not working
- Radio not working
- Drivers electric seat adjustment not working (though passenger's is working fine)
- Rear wiper not working (though front wiper working fine)
- Interior Light not working
- Interior Clock not working
- Sunroof not working
Fusable links (7 of them located under the collant expansion tank) were either burnt or broken.
I cut them out & put in a fuse block from a Ford Taurus.
This block comes with Maxi Fuses that have a "slow burn" same as a fusible link. Also the main power cable has 2 fuseable links at the fuse block.
Only item still not working is the rear wiper.
Sunroof motor now turns forward & reverse, but won't open. I suspect maybe a broken key/roll pin on drive gear.
I used crimp on butt connectors & soldered them. Then heat shrink tube & final wrap of electrical tape.

Mounted the fuse block to the firewall.
