All,
Since my budget doesn't allow a diesel conversion, I'm planning for new head gaskets on the 4.0 in my D2.
I've read that the Rover gas engine are very poorly port-matched, and respond well to blue-printing. Has anyone had experinece with this?
Thanks,
Port match intake to heads to exhaust on D2

My exhaust and intake manifolds were matched up to the heads quite closely, better than I was expecting.
I also was thinking of doing some porting, but after looking at everything decided against it.
Matching the ports and exhaust work will help power, but only at the higher RPM.
For 99% of my driving, I am never over 4000RPM (mostly under 3000) so little benefit.
If you are not carful you could hurt low RPM torque.
